As a child, Chris was a rocker, loving bands like, Cream, Hendrix, and Allman Brothers. At age 11, he found the Grateful Dead, their multi-genre style opening the doors to Blues, Bluegrass and Country. At 16 he fell in love with the harmonica. At age 22 Chris joined Rock Creek, a critically acclaimed Bluegrass band. Chris' banjo influenced stylings fitting right in with the band’s progressive sound. Chris later moved to SW Virginia, living with Janette Carter, daughter of AP and Sarah Carter, playing in her son’s band. 1989 found him taking the bus ride to Nashville. A million road miles later, with many club and studio gigs behind him, Chris, has finally put out his self produced cd: Freight Train Deluxe, Women Music, and Trucks!
